Having recently seen alot of the morning/daytime shows, I've noticed that alot of the babes are bringing their personal mobiles onto the set with them. This ranges from babes having them right beside them or hiding them behind them or under pillows etc.

I find this very annoying. Already this morning I've seen a babe playing with her mobile while on the studio phone to a caller. Thus I believe that she may not be paying full attention to her caller. Given that calling a babe is not cheap, the least that I would expect is that she is paying attention and interested in her caller and not her text messages and email.

I would like to know if a "Blanket Ban" of the babes bringing their personal mobiles on set could be implemented? (including having the mobile just out of the camera shot), In other words, "No Mobiles on Set - No Exceptions".

Your thoughts please.

maybe they are reading out a text to their caller or taking down their mobile numbers. i have sadly we dont have a pen and paper at hand x

Tricky subject this, I have noticed across all the babe channels a variety of personal devices in the girls hands, sadly not the devices we would like to see.
I look at it like this - between callers the girls can more or less do what they want, when on a BB call though 100% attention should be given to the caller, especially if it's me.
If a BB girl is taking the private mobile numbers of callers I'm sure BB won't mind?? besides having paper in the studio is probably against the current fire regulations!!!!!

Plenty of devices will be on our webshows & the bluebirdcamstv service !

Hey guys, the girls don't OVERLY use their phones on set or whilst they are on the phone to a caller. We watch the channels all day every day here in the office so if a girl was using their phone to an annoying degree then we would notice and have a word with them.

Remember that a lot of our girls promote themselves on facebook, twitter etc from their phones whilst their on screen as well...so their cannot be a ban completely

We expect our girls to give you 100% attention whilst you're on a call with them. Although whilst out of a call, they can make the odd promotion on their mobile. If a girl is using their phone whilst in calls we'll be sure to have a word with them

Reviving an old thread here but surprised no one responded to this!

Kitty - play around with your mobile as much as you like, if you want to take down my number

I heard one girl say that they are not allowed to take down numbers whilst they are on TV, only whilst on a break or at end of shift! Also the same girl has had conversations with studio staff whilst on a call to me and therefore ignored me whilst talking to them, once this might have been so as not to have to take her off air but I feel it is not good practice!
