As i watch the whole show they don't bother with any text so I'm not the only customer/fan being let down. I know they do get them but if they don't bother with a shout out or answer you will tend to think that they don't get them.
I think ALL the girls should have a laptop or ipad where they can see their text and that might sort this problem out as it's been said before a reply to a text might lead to a call and in my case it always does.

Hey Bob83, the girls do have their minutes and the IVF displayed in front of them.... But maybe we can look at installing some kind of sound alert that does off when they receive a text or something. I'll suggest the idea for you Smile Some of the night girls may have been busy with calls and unable to get time for the shout out. But we'll see about the sound alert for you,

I'm producing today so all texts will be read, text away!

Cheers!

Thanks for a quick reply Blue, just like to point out that a lot of the time they dont have a call that is why it's annoying. Have a good show today but I wont be texting as I only text and call the night show.

Concur the last two day girls I texted had not had a call for over half an hour, both told me previous they rarely /never received them, undoutably some (most) producers never pass them on, thinking its only a text I can't be bothered with this.

The message on the text is not the issue its the principle, sorry its just left me with a bit of an attitude of why should I spend an hour of good money on call time, if a producer can't do a simple thing like that every now and then.

RE: Texting - waste of money ?
It's obvious this problem has been going on a long time.

This evening Dani Maye was on the office set - I texted at 7.20pm, she hadn't had many calls, it was generally pretty quiet. A few mins later she went on a 30 min break - I missed probably the first 2 mins of her returning from her break, but I didn't hear the text read out and I doubt it was.

So I sent another one at 8.05pm and waited but again it wasn't read out or acted on - both texts asked Dani to stand up for a bit and for the camera to zoom out to give us some full-length shots (long shots were promised on Blueimage's promotion for this office set but never actually happened)

The phones were quiet this evening so the producer cannot say she was too busy. Also, Dani was looking bored and might have liked to read something out and stand up for a while, if only to do something to relieve the boredom.

Clearly whatever Blueimage is trying to do, sending emails asking producers to watch the texts etc. there are several producers who do not listen to him and appear like they can't be bothered.

I spent £3.00 on simple, clean texts and nothing happend - even though Dani was hardly on the phone at all.
Why weren't the texts read out please? I did everything correctly i.e. TV then message.

^^I thought the code was "babe" followed by your message. I don't know though, I can't text from the states Sad

Edit: Nevermind, a post from Blueimage cleared things up. I guess just double check to make sure you punched in the right shortcode.

Cheers!

Thanks for your post Fundrazer - as I said, I did everything correctly, the right code, number etc.
It's a simple process to get right - the problem is what are BB doing at their end?

RE: Texting - waste of money ?
I haven't bothered calling the channel this year, I now communicate with the model I used to call by other means ....

I told her why should I regularly spend 60 - 80 mins on a call if a producer can't be bothered to pass a simple text message on once in a blue moon...one miss I can accept twice maybe but it happened so often ....blimey I even texted in at the so called 'most convenient time' ....and still nothing happened lol ....I shouldn't have had to do that it was dead for half an hour and I'm the customer lol

Its obvious no matter how quiet most of the time they can't be bothered and think it doesn't matter....well here its lost an awful lot of minutes for one lady.....and a load of fun for me ...but I don't like be treated like a mug so as trivia as it may sound to some I won't be calling again.

Grrrr, Sorry guys! They have been told, this definitely shouldn't be as on-going as this. I'll send them another email and also print off a huge sign to put up right in front of them.

Cheers!

RE: Texting - waste of money ?
The texting issue has been sorted and the producers are going to make the utmost effort to read out texts from now on. It has to be understood that sometimes girls will be in calls and the call flow cannot be interrupted for texts, and also that the studio can get particularly busy at times etc and it may take some time to get a text read out.

But the signs are up to remind them and they have all agreed to get texts read out whenever they find themselves a bit of free time.

Cheers!

Good to know this thread has raised awareness if nothing else.. shy texters can become regular callers with a bit of female encouragement ...my custom is well lost but hopefully others will be able to tap away and hope for some return....we'll see.

RE: Texting - waste of money ?
I sent in a text at 11.25am this morning, to Cara Steel. There's 40 mins left of her Show and no sign of the text being read out. Cara's just got on the mic but not mentioned the text. It was a simple, polite request asking Cara to give us a little twirl. No big deal but it cost me money - I wouldn't be surprised if it gets ignored....
